What is spiritual ego?
“I believe that healing meditation can be dedicated to the mystery of our Oneness; it stands on its own to eternally embrace and support whatever belief or spiritual path we are on.” ~ Donna Ferri
Hi All!
I apologize for not sending out my newsletter in a while — I wasn’t online much during my recent office move. I am all settled in and can catch you up!
Since my last update, I’ve written a few short blog entries at:
http://whoheals.com/
and at:
http://telemeditationretreats.com/blog/
I’ve also created a meditation channel on You Tube that is getting nice reviews from YouTubers. This is before I even had a chance to tell anyone about it. It’s gaining subscribers and friends by word of mouth apparently. Check it out here:

Or Does the ego provide the test?
I love this diagram of Freud’s psyche theory (courtesy of Wikipedia). Although the ego (when used to describe the negative part of our psyche) can seem to play a large role in our lives when out of control, it is really only a small part of who we are (or surmise we are).
Sometimes I receive phone calls from people concerned about their experience with a teacher who appears to be lost in the ego. Each situation of course is unique, and each individual is responsible for taking care that they are not permitting another to abuse them, whether that other be a revered teacher or not.
Haven’t we all faced the decision whether to sacrifice a teaching or spiritual experience just because the teacher appears to have fallen from a pedestal? It’s how you respond to any circumstance, no matter how provocative, that can show you where you may need to shore up your inner reserves or make stronger connections with your inner teacher.
Your true teacher can safely Read More »

Music heals – sound heals; this has been well documented. Recent studies have been done in Post Operative Care Units during patent’s early postoperative care. Fascinating footage exists on the the beautiful patterns some sound makes on sand and on water. Healers have long used song or bells, or even Tibetan singing bowls. I often turn to exotic sound and chant to enter deep healing meditation, or to classical music especially in preparation for healing sessions.
Breathing appreciation changes energy
In my last article I recommended taking note of how the use of the word appreciation can change your energy.
After you apply some of the techniques I provided, you may immediately notice changes in your personal power as you gently wrap your energy around the word ‘appreciation’. If at any time you are not feeling quite the same sweetness you did when you first explored the sensation of appreciation, stop Read More »
Sending you my heartfelt wishes for a blessed holiday season. Here’s a guided, mini-meditation MP3.
Use it anytime you want a quick break to ease yourself into a quiet, peaceful state within. You may want to also use it to extend into a longer, quiet meditation session.
Look for a message here next Monday for a special holiday treat.
Joy and peace be yours,
Donna
Who’s to say if you’re an old soul, new soul or simply living in a dream?
Have you ever met someone who tells you they can read palms and then proceeds to look yours over? Sometimes they will tell you, “Oh, you’re a new soul. I don’t see a lot of patterns that show karma from past lives…”
But the deep understandings and beliefs about souls are personal. Maybe you know you’re an old soul and this person happens to be reading your palm after you’ve cleared a lot of old energy.
I’ve seen the lines on the palms of people’s hands change over the years, to have less and less lines, even if they develop wrinkles on other areas of the skin. You would think it would be the opposite, unless you realize how much energy healing can effect even a palm reading from one decade to another.
Do I read palms? Not in the traditional sense, though I do notice these changes. And I see them in relation to Read More »
Exploring the Physiology of Spirit.
How do black holes, consciousness and the evolution of the human brain help us understand our need to seek the meaning of life?
Can a guru or system answer the ultimate questions of life like, ‘where did we come from’, or ‘where do we go after death’? Does anyone really know for a certainty ‘who’ we are and ‘why’ we Read More »
How do you personally choose to manage the over-arching energies of fear that compete to define the times?
I once read a true story about an uninvited guest interrupting a small private patio get-together in DC. He wasn’t your movie-version of the adolescent, fun-at heart party crasher, but one packing a gun and sinister intent. He pointed his gun at the host’s young daughter; someone quickly offered the intruder a glass of good wine: Chateau Malescot St-Exupery as the story goes. Read More »

Twelve TeleMeditations MP3s
A thank you for subscribing to Who Heals email announcements is now ready for downloading. I recently uncovered archives from the legacy TeleMeditations show, so I’m giving away “The Best of TeleMeditations” when you subscribe to my WhoHeals email updates.
The autoresponder is set up so, whether you’re on my original TeleMeditations Yahoo list or already subscribed through this website, after you’ve confirmed you now get my welcome message telling you how to download the MP3s.

Yesterday I entered the list from my old Yahoo TeleMeditations to the new Aweber service. This triggered automatic requests from the “whohealsblog group”–they were sent on my behalf to let the old Yahoo subscribers know that this auto service replaces that list.
Updates from Who Heals will be informational. They’ll include any invitations to teleconference events. If you’ve also subscribed to my Meditation Montage and Telemeditations blog updates, there shouldn’t be Read More »
