At some level of consciousness, we meet inside the spiritual concepts we share. These can include ideas on how to take responsibility for shaping our individual worlds, and how our personal decisions effect the planet we share. Or anything that matters right now.

Because we really are spiritually related, we can exchange greetings and love by just our thoughts and feelings. We also show our appreciation more openly with traditional gift-giving or holiday greetings in many forms.

My holiday message for you

Here is a ten-minute replay (downloadable MP3) from one of my teleconference group sessions. It’s called, “Elementally healing human conflict”, and was part of a reading during a small group session to clear planetary records of the origins of our twin flames in form.

Continuing in this series on Who Heals the Earth, I want to do more than ‘think blue’. Do all I can to preserve the lifeblood of our life support system.

Oceanographer Sylvia Earle has been teaching about the need to heal our oceans for a long time. Her citing of statistics is more than just shocking, maybe not quite in the way that Earthlings is; but her voice, like Earthlings’ filmmaker Shaun Monson‘s, has taken my awareness to a finer level.

Earle says that what was once a sea of Eden is now ‘paradise lost’, in that we’ve taken, eaten (and sadly wasted and misused) 90% of the big fish of the ocean. As a species, humanity has exploited the ocean in overt as well as insidious ways. Way that we can no longer afford to dismiss.

But, we still have the power to change direction and salvage what’s left

In this TED video, Sylvia Earle warns about the consequences of not knowing the cost of what we take from the sea. She correlates what we have done to protect 12% of the land on the earth with the need for more national marine sanctuaries to protect our life support system.

Earle also talks about how the advanced technology of Google Earth can reveal deforestation as it happens helping to bring more awareness and change. (Google Earth recently launched its forest monitoring tool and announced it on December 10, 2009, at the International Climate Change Conference (COP15) in Copenhagen.)

“No blue, no green; no water, no life.”

For years I have been working with meditation and prayer partners, or leading telemeditations for collective earth energy-healing work. I was a vegan for many years until severe anemia caused me to modify my diet.

And I continue to listen to what others are saying about our planet with an open mind.

But last week a friend from Germany sent me a link to a trailer of the Earthlings Documentary that did more than open my mind. (The footage I’ve linked to was the least shocking I could find.)

For several days I stopped eating all but a few greens, then I just stopped eating meat. I’m still working on how far to go, to embrace authentic vegan living.

I also struggle with how to deal with my existing wardrobe and household sundries, with it’s token green or fair trade products. They, along with my intent, seem overpowered by those produced by mistreated workers or at the expense of innocent animals and nature.

Living so close to the ocean inspires me to search for even more remedies, not just within, but in sharing here. And so my next article will be on healing the ocean.

My hope is that you will join in helping make others aware that how we live is not only under community and self-examination, but pivotal in the decade ahead: a small but true window of hope.

And maybe we can make a pact here, that each of us kindly supports one another in shedding old habits while encouraging one another in making better choices. Choices that can lead us to collective healing, and taking seriously humanity’s responsibility to work together for the healing of our Mother Earth.

In this article series, “Who Heals the Earth”, I’ll share my feelings as I continue to look for better recipes, not only for my diet, but for my consciousness. My purpose is to also support you to create an even more spiritualized — if not completely vegan — whole life.
