It’s just as important to learn how to recharge and preserve that energy as it is to learn how to be an alchemist. It’s not enough to get a Reiki alignment or other treatment unless you are also prepared to take responsibility in other areas of your life. And you can’t just wave a magic wand and create something. It takes spiritual alignment, alchemy and something more to do the job successfully.

Epictetus was the philosopher who is said to have leapt into a burning volcano to prove immortality. Instead of the blazing god who was supposed to emerge as the new, improved (immortal?) Epictetus, the volcano just spit out a pair of sandals. The story goes that, posthumously, Epictetus was dismissed as a fraud by his followers.
